They coached the youngsters in the morning, played what turned out to be a fantastic display of Rugby against Orkney firsts with the day ending in a Gala dance for 600 in the Picky Centre. Rugby Sevens's 2016 sponsored by Orkney Builders portfolioA glorious day greeted the rugby players and spectators alike for the Orkney Builders 2016 Rugby Sevens tournament. The bonnie day was equalled by the bonnie play on show from the Rookies through to the Seniors. Over 150 players took part in the tournament with many more spectators. With the Orkney firsts leading the way throughout the 2015/2016 season gaining a mid table position in the national league the sevens tournament is a great end to the season. Peebles were crowned champions with an impressive display throughout the tournament, The Plate was won by Grangemouth and the Pail was won by The West. In the mini section it was a clean sweep for St Andrews both in the P4&5'S and P6&7'S.
