 The Brin Cup final was played for between Orkney 2nds and RAF Kinloss. The players from Kinloss winning what is one of the oldest trophies in the north of Scotland. Final Score 12-25. |
 Orkney Rugby Club celebrate winning the Caledonia Division 1 League after beating Kinross 73-7 in the final game of a long season. |
 Seven teams competed in the Kirkwall ladies Hockey tournament, the 25th year of the competition. The weather was unusually kind to the girls bright blue skies greeted the players coupled with a fine exhibition of hockey, it made a good holiday sunday outing. To top it all the Kirkwall Ladies won their own tournament. |
